I have a KX-99 antenna adapter which is just a splitter. There is a jack for plugging in your handheld, I have a Vertex, was looking to pick up the cable if I could find one (and it's cheap). The only ones I find come with the adapter.

What a timely message! I had the KI-99 splitter installed years ago. The KI-99 has long since departed this frequency. I still have the cable. Do you know if it will work with the Vertex? It sounds like it will from your message. How are you going to get the screw in connector from the Vertex to connect to the BNC twist connector for the KI-99 cable?

i had a KI-99 splitter till a few weeks ago.i removed it. Not worth the clutter it ads

Have no idea it will work with Vertex, yes, I would need the screw in type connector, forgot old radios use BNC type.

I'm going to have avionics upgraded in the near future, was trying to decide to have it remove myself, don't know if the extra hardware hurts quality of transmissions. Was going to check out if it works. More of an experiment, hence the reason for it to be cheap.

Keep me posted please. My KI-99 adapter is connected to COM 1 and I was debating whether to remove it. I haven't looked for the screw-in to BNC adapter. But if it could work, I would keep it.
