Does anyone here know who to call for repairs on this Moritz gauge strip for this M20R Ovation. The CHT is both digital and analog. The needle quit but the digital still works. Thanks in advance. Ron

All those senders are a grand each. The Ovation we take care of had the oil temp gauge go bad. IIRC it was 3500$ for a flat-rate "overhaul" of the thing.

Several years ago I sent my Moritz gauge pkg with the fuel gauge & amps/volts back to Moritz Aerospace Inc for repair of the amp /volts. It was about $400 or so but I understand the aerospace assets were sold to a Fl. Company last year which I believe is Radiant Power Company. Give Moritz a call to see what they might suggest. I do know they indicated they were short on certain parts but were able to repair mine and replaced the light bulbs at the same time.

My Moritz egt is erratic.  Has anyone had success in trouble shooting/ fixing this problem?

Paul

Paul I'd check the factory probe 1st. located on the exhaust tube. Those things have a limited life so it may be bad. In addition if you have an engine monitor or add one like the Insight G2 it legally replaces the Moritz gauge for EGT/CHT. Any repair to the gauge is going to be expensive as there is nothing you can do.

Are all of the Mooneys the factory is currently pruducing using G1000s?  Do they even offer a steam guage option?  If so, what are they using?

I love the way those Moritz gauges look, but after seeing the repair costs, I'm glad I have the old style.

Cris,

thanks for the reply.  I have a JPI, but would like the factory guage to work.  I tried a JPI probe, but it didn't help.  The probe I took out was an Alcor, do you know if this is the right factory probe?

Sorry Paul I am not sure if that is the correct part but I would think a quick call to a MSC or even to a parts supplier with a cross reference might work.
