Marauder Posted February 24, 2014 Report Posted February 24, 2014 Hi Trek, How about offering a trade-up program who bought the GDL-39 a few months before the 39R release? 1 Quote

I flew it few times and I am very happy since I have never seen glass panel before. I know the Pilot App in and out. But I can't find any manual or description of the symbols and functions on the synthetic vision screen. Where can I find anything on that? Quote

As some guys pointed in another forum topic there should be more contrast between the background and letters. On the Direct To page for example it is hard to read blue letters on the gray background and gray letters on the black background. 2. How about " One touch alert timer " or turn on and off preset alert instead of going through adding and editing the alerts every time you want use it. I always create and use " Switch tanks " alert but if I don't delete it it will pops on my screen in the middle of the night for many times. Then I have to create one from scratch again befor take off. Or am I missing something? Quote

carusoam Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 I think that split screen is called WingX! wingx synthetic vision (click on this link?) Best regards, -a- Quote

I reported the screen contrast issue to Garmin and received a reply that it was handed over to the development team. It's hard to believe how they botched that one. I also hear you on the Alerts. You aren't missing anything, once you shut down the application the alerts disappear. I like to set an alert to start the clock at the FAF on an ILS and it works great - when I remember to set it. But the next time I shoot the same approach the alert is gone. 1 Quote
donkaye Posted February 26, 2014 Report Posted February 26, 2014 Trek, It's nice to see you have signed up for this list. I'm sure as people find out how knowledgeable you are about all the Garmin products you will be getting as many questions over here as on the Beechtalk list. Welcome aboard! Quote

PTK Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 Hello Trek. Welcome on MS. I had asked you on BT a while ago about the FS450 fuel flow computer from JPI and the EDM800. At that time you had indicated they weren't on your STC yet but Garmin was working towards expanding the STC. Are these on your STC for the GTN750 yet? It'd be nice to be able to utilize the excellent fuel planning pages of the 750 in an automated way! Thanks! Quote
ArtVandelay Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 Hi Trek, How about offering a trade-up program who bought the GDL-39 a few months before the 39R release? Hey Trek, When are they going to add BlueTooth to the GDL-88, so it can interface with IPAD as well, I'd call it GDL-88B? Quote
donkaye Posted March 2, 2014 Report Posted March 2, 2014 On BeechTalk, there is a box beside where you post that if checked will sent you an email if a topic that you have been following has been added to. This would be useful here, too. People like Trek Lawler would be more likely to follow up if he were notified. How does one contact the moderator to ask for that function? Quote
donkaye Posted March 2, 2014 Report Posted March 2, 2014 No need to reply. I just found it on top. Poor location for it. It should be right beside the POST box, so that should be the question for the moderator. Quote
