mooniac15u Posted February 6, 2014 Report Posted February 6, 2014 Based on your use of the word "disastrous" I'm going with a Tecnam P92 with one door missing. Quote
AndyFromCB Posted February 6, 2014 Report Posted February 6, 2014 Based on your use of the word "disastrous" I'm going with a Tecnam P92 with one door missing. A Tecnam P2006T after a divorce? Or a c$%^% skycatcher Quote
jrwilson Posted February 6, 2014 Report Posted February 6, 2014 The Mite had a sliding canopy.[/quote Which is a form of entry into the cockpit, aka, door? Quote
DS1980 Posted February 6, 2014 Report Posted February 6, 2014 So you would consider the door to your house a sliding canopy? Quote
scottfromiowa Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 So you would consider the door to your house a sliding canopy? Pretty fun at a party? Quote

jrwilson Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 So you would consider the door to your house a sliding canopy? Yeah, not the front door , but I changed the sliding glass door into a sliding glass canopy. Quote
trey Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 I have to bite. Stumped. Do tell the story. Quote
Dave Marten Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 A Mooney with 2 dead cylinders. Well said sir! Regardless of whether or not your correct that's just darn funny! Quote
Apollo Posted February 7, 2014 Author Report Posted February 7, 2014 Heard this joke a few days ago. Guy flys a Cessna 162. Pilot forgets to latch the door and after a touch and go the door popped open and ripped off in flight. Thank goodness we fly real airplanes! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
RocketAviator Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 Well said sir! Regardless of whether or not your correct that's just darn funny! I think I might have to knock off 4 of my cylinders to get down to 100hp! Quote

Will W Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 Unfortunately those doors on the Skycather have been known to separate in flight if they are not closed correctly. They have since the beginning added a safety latch to the door to know it's closed. Quote

chrisjoh Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 Yeah well maybe Cessna is dropping production of them for a reason.... Never understood why they thought they'd be able to sell $100k+ planes that are basically new but dumbed down 152s when you can buy a good used one of those for $20k? And make money on them! Quote
Guest Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 I think I might have to knock off 4 of my cylinders to get down to 100hp! Hard one to top but.....I'd have to remove six of mine to get down to 100 HP. Clarence Quote

scottfromiowa Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 The word is that the rest of the story is coming our way when Next Gen is fully implemented... Quote

Actually a 152 is twice the plane a 162 is. I would fly a 152 sooner than skycatcher regardless of price. 162 feels like a kite. Quote
