  1. Parker, we are getting somewhere now. I am about 70% closer to understanding now. A few questions: What is the « Aviation book »? What is meant by « managing the aviation book »? Is Allianz part of USAIG? Why do they call the entities taking the risk « the paper »? Thanks. Yves
  2. Parker, I have no clue what all this insurance jargon means. Can you educate me please? The quote I got is actually from Allianz. Yves
  3. I got my renewal quote today The premium went up however what I do not like is that they changed the deductible for hail and windstorm damage to be 10% of the hull value $60000 / 10 in my case. Do anyone else got this change? It use to be $500. Yves
  4. You think you got close to the Snowbirds? I think I beat you... by far... i can state (proof in hand) that I was no further than 20 feet.... Picture in next post...
  5. Good work on the new web site Paul et al. Yves
  6. How about setting transponder code to 7600? This might awaken twr and perhaps have them check their gear? Yves
  7. Guys who know what a Karnaugh’s map as well as a Smith’s chart (without Googling them) possibly had the same college pattern I had. Yves
  8. I checked through my iPAD pictures and yes I do have a picture of Anthony from OSH beside Mike’s aircraft. Is it OK to post it here Anthony?
  9. Alan is definitely a top tier friend and resource. I would let him fly my aircraft no question asked. Yves
  10. I did my carpets using SCS interiors few years ago. I highly recommend them. I managed to mess up a piece and they actually stopped the normal production run to make the piece I messed quickly. I used snaps held by small bolts requiring drilling floor from underneath... this technique was provided by a MS member here Byron (jetdriven). This allows removing carpets easily for annual inspection. Yves
  11. There are so many threads about this issue... here are some: I guess this might be generalized across the C fleet.... lets see, do we have any M20C that do not have this behavior? Please state your airframe year if you respond. Yves
  12. Clarence, same in Quebec. I think your business is falling under federal jurisdiction right? So provincial ruling does not apply. Are you staying open? Yves
  13. Try search Mooney Caravan.... you’ll see lots of Mooneys there. Yves
  14. In case someone needs this: https://howmuchtoiletpaper.com/
  15. Same here with my 1965 C. My mechanic checked the gauge pressure and very close to reality. That thread Oscar is talking about from memory concludes that this is not a big deal. I would worry if it would be double the pressure but it never goes high enough for concern. Yves
  16. Clin d’oeil à Ned!
  17. Amelia, If you usually come to Oshkosh Airventure, there is an option for donations: for the last few years we had a Mooneyspace social with pizza and beer on Monday night where accepted cash donations would go half and half between MooneySpace web site and the Mooney Caravan Safety Foundation. Yves
  18. Don’t call me Yvette! Thanks for the compliment. Yves
  19. Iced runway? Hmmm ... just don’t use the brakes and all will be fine. Yves
  20. We are getting ready here too. Have 10 gallons of fresh fuel for the emergency power generator, 1 1/2 cord of wood for the fireplace. Food for a couple of days. Cheers. Yves
  21. Any word from José? Have not heard from him for months... Yves
  22. But it can also keep you flying. I am in need of another car... the 2008 Toyota I drive is falling apart and has 248000 km. Due to change. I could have went for a new $25K car.... of the year. Shopping around I found a similar toyota... much younger, no rust, half the millage at $6K. Sold! The savings will allow me to keep the Mooney. It is all a matter of choice. Yves
  23. Good luck guys. I will fly either today or tomorrow but only locally. Yves
