  5. Actually, in France, my opinion is that the most well know gendarme is Cruchot, role held by Louis de Funes. https://soirmag.lesoir.be/313081/article/2020-07-15/louis-de-funes-gendarme-et-commissaire https://fr.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_Gendarme_(série_de_films) He held this role in several (6) movies that are really funny... Yves

  7. By trying to make airplanes lighter they use materials that have some weaknesses that can lead to this kind of failures. Yves
  8. Congratulation Mike for the baby. Will try to attend. Yves
  9. I had the same issue 3-4 years back. Upon startup, the imbalance would make things shake like crazy. Permanent solution was buying a prop winter cover since the aircraft sleeps outside. Yves
  10. My M20C is a 1965. I checked in my parts manual and it also states 21-006-94. Chances are the one I mentioned above from McFarlane should also work for you. Yves
  11. Mine was replaced last september by my mechanic. Part number is 0713050-2 https://www.mcfarlaneaviation.com/products/product/MC0713050-2/ Signed by mechanic. Yves
  12. Oui Yves.
Yves Grenier
  14. Anyone knows wat is the capacitor value? Yves
  15. Ned, sorry about your ordeal and good job landing SWR safely. No problem taking you to Waterloo when possible. I have Casey on my schedule (labor day week-end) and there is possibility I get another pilot checked on my machine in the next few weeks. Yves
  16. Here is a nice older thread about the plugs: Yves
  17. Alan, if you do this, you will fly over my house. You will have to stop here, get fed, rested all on my watch. Yves
  18. Did you go through Marsh? Yves
  19. Clarence, I went back to Marsh Canada. I was with them 4-5 years ago and had to switch to c-plan for sometime. I am saving near $300. The underwriter is XL Specialty Insurance Company. I think they are based in Toronto. Yves
  20. We met Bob and Nancy at the Mooney Caravan some years ago. We are very sorry about Bob’s passing. We offer Nancy and all Bob’s family our sincerest condoleances. The Mooney Caravan not be the same without Bob. We will miss him a lot. Yves and Diane (Olaf and Matrix)
  21. This is why I always have my annual Feb 1st regardless of the date the previous annual expires. Happy flying! Yves
  22. Hi Rob. Hope all is well. Is your bird out of annual yet? Yves
  23. I decided to contact the broker I was with 4 years ago. The quote came back the same day at about $300 less than my current one. No higher deductible for hail and storm. I will switch back. Lesson learned: shop around. Yves
  24. Hey Rob, welcome to MooneySpace. Please fill your credentials so all know you are Canadian. You sounded like an american :-) Yves
  25. Thanks Parker. The new clause (they want to add on my policy) about increased deductible on hail and windstorm (this is new up here) is it common in USA? I will shop to find out if other providers have a better deal. My increase is 14% and they add this. We do have some thunderstorms and the very rare tornado here but the odds they would hit my airplane are very low. Still would like the deductible to be the same as before. Yves
