  1. See if someone on your field or your local shop has a GMA 340 you could slide in to see if you are getting the same symptoms.
  2. I would ask if there was an insurance claim when the hangar rash occurred. It looks like to repair that properly, to like new condition, is not insignificant.
  3. I do not have A/C or TKS and I still have my dual vacuum pumps. My useful load is 985.
  4. Looks like a great M model and a great deal to boot. I have a '93 M also. The only thing that bugged me on the pictures on this one was the poor job of painting the semi circle (arc) on the pilot's side of the tail compared to co-pilot's side. It shouldn't take that much to get that fixed. And the word "Bravo" on the wings has to go. Congratulations !!
  5. If you can find a shop that knows these switches they can be rebuilt. If it's a King switch they have three microswitches inside. I spent less than $500 rebuilding mine vs. almost three times that for a new one.
  6. Harrison Ford would do just fine there . . just kidding.
  7. Avionics bay looks great! Looks like it's time for a new white battery terminal boot (MS25171-3S) on the battery in the foreground. I just ordered a couple for mine - they tear up pretty easily.
  8. It should be a GE330 if it's the same that the 14v J's and K's used. (The 28v Mooneys use a GE327). Both available at Aircraft Spruce. Oops thats the bulb for the gear indicator in the floor. Not sure about the one in the panel on an E.
  9. Before taking it to Epps runs a search of Epps on Mooneyspace (all content).

  11. Your year and model (N30FM) is a Medeco Key. Try this link to a Trade-A-Plane ad: http://www.trade-a-plane.com/search?category_level1=Airframe+Parts&category_level2=Door+Parts&listing_id=991569&s-type=part If that doesn't work, call Stacey Ellis at Mooney and he will tell you how to proceed.
  12. They are the ring one for the outside ring but they are also more expensive than getting the kit from the guy on Beechtalk. His kit includes both o-rings and the cotter pin. Make sure you replace the small o-ring inside since water sits in the recess of the center of the cap and can get past a bad o-ring easily. http://www.csobeech.com/fuel-caps.html
  13. Quite the opposite - the fluorosilicone handles fuel much better than the standard o-rings. http://www.csobeech.com/fuel-caps.html
  14. On Beechtalk there's a guy that sells the high quality blue Fluorosilicone orings at a good price. Well worth it! https://www.beechtalk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=130666
  15. I've been wanting to read this one but on the MAPA website all it takes you to is the picture of the cover.
  16. Service Bulletins are not mandatory since they may not apply to every aircraft - it's on condition. In this case this SB doesn't apply to every Continental on the field, it only applies to those that have had a prop strike, which makes it mandatory.
  17. The terminal loops. The 210-AY has three 15 amp fuses for protection.
  18. I set mine up through the O2 door and in the avionics bay I put a batteryminder 210-AY to split to both batteries. One Batteryminder to charge and desulfate two batteries works well.
  19. http://www.ebay.com/itm/MOONEY-M-20-J-K-STEP-ASSY-/311810102407?hash=item4899549487:g:W9gAAOSwCU1YsJOl&vxp=mtr
  20. Well . . mine came in the mail today, three days before the discount.
  21. The Batteryminder part number for the Y is 210-AY (http://www.ebay.com/itm/BatteryMINDer-SmarTECHnology-Y-Multiple-Battery-Connector-Model-210AY-New-/381932099068?hash=item58eced55fc:g:1uoAAOSwLEtYgyd8) that stays in the avionics bay in the back. I ran mine out the Oxygen door. Both batteries stay desulfated and charged with one Batteryminder for Concordes (http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/elpages/batteryminder11-14352.php?clickkey=2300274)
  22. I wouldn't for a huge amount. I said people did that back before Aspens. Because they didn't want to keep overhauling their NSD360's. It might still be an option as people pull them out for upgrades.
  23. Back before Aspen a lot of Century HSI's were replaced with Sandel EHSI.
