  1. Just verified on the plane that has G3X, gtn 750 and gnc255 connected to G3X. All database frequency lookup works with G3X provided information. No functionality seems to be lost. Both G3X shows COM frequency with explanation and GNC radio shows frequency with alphabetic explanation. Cheers!
  2. On the Bravo minder allowed me for about 1.5 hours of avioncs buttonology with a mid life battery. Engine did start fine next day from this battery even though i disconnected minder at the end of the session. Av30c voltage monitor held steady at around 28v all the time.
  3. Ouch. Prop need to come off to put new one… was it set too tight ?
  4. With G3x you can pre-configure default angle for TOGA and change it, not sure if it is desirable, however, I found Garmin configured default 7.5 deg to be quite good. You can use up-down button on control face to change angle as well, I usually do lower it a little at altitude to get higher IAS or switch to VS mode to keep constant vertical speed for climb, obviously turbo-charged airplane.
  5. Much better than G5! Overlays approach procedure path and fixes on moving map. And you can have ROUND gauges
  6. According to foreflight rwy is 3819ft long.
  7. Big question is WHY it had an alignment issue? For mems based devices I can only see exceeding sensor limitations(super severe turbulence) or some external sensor badly lying to the system.
  8. Can it be installed in the bravo wing ?
  9. Fortunately, large drones require some money to be put in the air. Unfortunately FAA is playing dumb game requiring yet another type of drone beacon which will not be directly compatible with ADSB even though 978 MHz band has plenty of bandwidth to accommodate thousands of targets in relatively small area, as well as modulation type used for 978 MHz ensures that you will always receive stronger signal even if weaker one overlaps it. Installing 978 MHz ADSB transmitter on large drone should be no brainer and will drive cost of the UAT modules down due to the volume.
  10. It works well. Useful.

  12. Wonder if here is any insurance discount for installing gear minding system like P2 (https://www.p2inc.com/audioadvisory.asp) ?
  13. Don, i would not be that categorical calming that tapes are automatic read, each person is wired differently, I've spend 7 years flying with tapes and could not comprehend them as fast as analog gauges, when you see solid green on the tape you NEED to read the number to know exactly where you are in that green range. On analog needs one does not even need to shift eye focus to see that needle is pointing in the right segment of the green arc for example. In addition motion of the needle (first and second derivative of the position angle) is easier to absorb than frequency of the number change. I've seen GOOD number tapes designs, unfortunately Garmin design is difficult for me.
  14. For me the biggest advantage in g3x was ability to display analog gauges. My brain reads position of analog needles much quicker vs tape numbers that need additional interpretation.
  15. Technically we should blame phone manufactures. I'm still waiting when there will be at least one smart person on the design team there that will make square (or round) sensor that will capture data irrelevant of the orientation and store ALL data even the one that can't be shown while filming due to the phone display orientation.
  16. Sounds like several devices share CAN bus with the same CAN ID (aka can address) G5 units have ID pins to tell the system which G5 is in charge and which is the #2 unit. If they are both trying to talk on the network as the unit in charge, you have a network address conflict.
  17. Still really good clear path in front to allow for shallow approach
  18. They do have nice 3500ft asphalt runway.
  19. Yes. You are correct, confirmed that VNAV is not available with GNX375
  20. So my understanding it will fly step downs with gtn750 but not with gnx 375. Trying to figure what exactly is lost with gnx 375 vs gtn 750
  21. Do you get VNAV with gnx 375 ?
  22. Wonder if anyone uses built-in Foreflight performance profile for the Bravo. Seems like the use values that most of the folks on this forum recommend not to use. For example i don't see performance for 29@2400rpm, and 30@2400 rpm at all. Contacted them and they said they will only use values published by POH, wonder if custom profiles are working for the folks, since they produce gross errors for me. Cheers!
  23. CTAF for KFIT is 122.7. Only rwy lights controlled on 123.0
  24. What was the weight saving with removing vacuum system ?
  25. Wonder why they show slightly different Pitch angle. I assume there is adjustment pitch offset on GI275?
