  1. I still see many planes that don't have ADSB-out system installed or operating properly, this will at least give a chance the ones equipped with ADSB-in system to see and avoid those equipped when visuals fail or one plane mistaken for another. That's said 180kts on final sounds little excessive....
  2. Where is 'nice' hotels in bar harbor ? :))) I support everything else on your list
  3. Yeah, would be curious to know about those failures as well
  4. I'm all for landing gear warning, having altitude readout is secondary since I find Mooney is the easiest plane to land nicely once you get the sight picture. But if landing gear warning reminds me even once when I actually forget GUMPS or skip "U" it pretty much paid for itself many times over.
  5. Hello, would I get gear warning on takeoff if the gear is raised quickly upon leaving terra-firma ? Thanks!
  6. Don, what do you use on Bravos for flying under 18000?
  7. Does anyone know if its possible to combine Monroy mod with the tank re-seal and who provides this service ? Thanks!
  8. What is MP for 2200 rpm ? For long cruise ?
  9. According to mechanic from MSC it is not manly to "cool" the turbo but to remove excessive oil turbo tank drain so it does not gum up. At least on TIO-540-AF1B.
  10. It would be really good if Garmin indicated average force on yaw servo somehow, this way you can trim for zero without connect disconnect... Also good for diagnostics.
  11. Infinity aviation at Nahsua
  12. Sounds like a defect in either graphical processing unit of the circuitry or LCD driver. I had white streaks on LCD occasionally was fixed by display unit replacement. V9 is more demanding on CPU/GPU side.
  13. Last month I spend 4 hours on the phone and called almost all shops. No one had this spring available
  14. stealing some photos that been posted earlier on the forum. Left is bad one right is new one. Made out of Californium seems to be.
  15. Yikes 28 weeks. Wonder if we can do group buy for it to speed up. Or offer them targeted investment into this to make qty of this part.
  16. Hello Clarence, any idea one ETA for your springs, trying to guess wait time…. Thanks.
  17. Apparently there was a batch of defective ones that where showing stress and excessive buckling at the bend, not fitting in the actuator correctly. Some of them made into the field. Looks like overhauled actuator that I got has one.
  18. The actuator was replaced with overhauled 130 Hours ago. Turns out whoever did the install did not adjust gears correctly and there was no correct preload in main gears (pretty much none, it’s a miracle it did it not fold). Once we fixed it, actuator started to back-drive once gears are fully extended. I.e gear ligh come up and the next seconds goes out. Same thing with manual extension, once extended manually and we push gear fuse back in, gear light goes out.
  19. yes yes Around 20 of them from the list. Most don’t carry this kit in inventory. Most refer back to Lasar or DMax I suspect I’m currently working with one of the best MSC, they do order it 8 months ahead, mine was new for them since we did not expect overhauled actuator to contain bad spring.
  20. I can’t believe it cost that much to manufacture 1000 springs. I would guess with all ISO processes in place - 50 to 120k. And most qualified machine shops should be able to produce this simple part with proper heat treatment and bends which are not done on a cold metal (as Mooney did once, and called it a good part)
  21. It appears no one in the whole country have that little part in stock. So they probably do make them in batches of 10 once every 3-4 months.
  22. Looks like couple I called are out of them and it’s 3-4 month wait…
  23. Hello, does any one knows who sells springs clutch “no-back”. Mooney part number 203207-1 ? Looks like factory new that was installed on gear actuator by previous owner was “cold” bent at the factory and actuator does backup the gear. Thank you. Alex.
  24. Yes it works both ways. G3X does forward gps info to the gnc radio over rs232. It is not connected to gtn750. gtn750 does not even display secondary nav/com control buttons only it’s own built in radio.
  25. Yes, a lot of details are missing in the manuals, but one can expect system like g3x to forward location information back to the radio:) and it pays to work with experienced garmin installer, in our case we verified it at Islip Avionics as KISP. Cheers!
