  1. Wonder how many kts the bom costs
  2. Yeah, at 1700 FPM it took a real long time.
  3. Oh, we're doing this?
  4. There's an echo
  5. There's a few things that I'm super skeptical about... Auto engines never work well in airplanes. Eggenfelner, rotary, i haven't see a builder happy with the performance and in the RV world you see those guys selling them and going Lycoming. Asking an auto engine to run at 100 percent power for 20 minutes and 75 percent for several hours isn't really what they're designed for. The cooling system. I'm dubious at best. It's a neat idea but seems problematic. Gear reduction. These things tend to not be very reliable. It sounds like they're gonna build one airplane, test it, and start selling "kits" 6 months later. That isn't much testing. With such a radical departure from common systems I would expect problems. Lots of them. I hope it works, it will revolutionize GA
  6. This is tested and working on ours with a stratux box.
  7. It's a very very cool project, I hope he's successful but I don't have enough faith in them to put 2k down on one. The deicing is particularly interesting.
  8. I feel like It's usually denoted in the afd or whatever you want to call it these days as a fee based airport. Can't remember the verbage.
  9. Oh, I see. Crossing restrictions have absolutely nothing to do with the descent rate required to meet said restriction. Who knew. This place is becoming P of A at an alarming rate.
  10. Thanks, I've tried it in the mid to high teens but haven't had the nerve higher thanks for the input. I'm not way into it either, I'll burn 20gph to go fast over 15 to go 15 knots slower. It's not that much in the grand scheme but it would be nice as you say with a tailwind to squeeze out max range. I don't like to run the snail that hot, my partner will run it 1600+ which is allowed but not a good idea in my opinion.
  11. I think I have read some of his posts. Other than the prop it shouldn't be any different from a bravo in operation. I hope.
  12. Dunno, don't want to find out I think I have read in the mid teens on the t360, t520 I don't know. I also don't k ow if I could crank the prop out of feather. I've done it on twins but usually with the luxury of a bit more airspeed to help get it windmilling Maybe if it stumbles you can fatten it up in time, again idk.
  13. We have a Bluetooth keyboard for the ifd anyway and an on screen. It's quick to edit.
  14. Anyone run lop up in the flight levels? I'd like to try it but I'm a bit worried about putting the fire out and not getting it lit again. I think our spread is .2 so it should run pretty smooth.
  15. From the ifd install manual “In some cases, an aircraft may have an existing WAP in use. For example, some aircraft may be accustomed to connecting 3rd party iPad applications to a Stratus ADS-B receiver. These pilots will likely wish to also have access to the IFD from their iPads. In order to achieve this configuration, the IFD must be configured to connect to the Stratus receiver. This will allow tablet devices to access data from both the Stratus and the IFD simultaneously”
  16. The ifd can be a hotspot or connect to another hotspot. It looks like I can connect the ifd and ipads to the adsb hotspot and they'll all talk on the same network. 17. 3 or 4k a minute is really no big deal for a jet. 2k or 2.5k a minute seems pretty standard... Unless you're that dude doing 500fpm or less for no reason and you have an animal on your tail.
  18. Stock 231 I didn't use them much. Now I consider them necessary.
  19. My impression... Vaporware. Hope I'm wrong.
  20. Used to fly into 7s5 a lot in the 90s when I lived in mmv. Nice place.
  21. If it will work with the Aspen and fly gpss and all the goodies work, I'm one. I'd replace the king we have so fast.
  22. That'll go quick. Good luck!
  23. Among other concerns don't risk your engine. What if it runs lean and detonates and damages it?
  24. Where's Longmont? Never been.
