  1. I’ve had to start over, deleting connections and force a new pairing connection. I’m not patient enough to wait to see if it recovers on its own.
  2. I did this, I did the R/R work myself, my controls were 40 years old, seem prudent.
  3. I replaced the windows, the back ones with extra dark tint.
  4. My throttle has vernier but no button…best of both worlds…but I don’t use the vernier that much.
  5. The high fuel pressure is a problem only at idle, at least it was in my case.
  6. But that 430 is useless because you can’t update the databases…unless you find a idiot who buys stuff on the internet without verifying it’s not stolen.
  7. FYI, for me after about 30 hours this problem went away, pressure drops back down to high 20s.
  8. For a “only” $1000, I’ll sell a used AXC.
  9. The only fasteners I fully remove are the corners, the rest have retaining rings.
  10. I setup an alarm when my plane is detected, I get the email before reaching pattern altitude. Might depend on which ADSB out you’re using and if there’s a ground station that’s no longer operational.
  11. Garmin’s dynamic maps don’t show that:
  12. Problem is you’re likely to get rerouted, so verifying points on your plan route won’t help.
  13. In the tail, on a shelf.
  14. If traveling you need current charts. There’s always something that changes. I let my subscription expire if not traveling and flying locally VFR, but otherwise I want to be up to date. Last thing I want if flying IFR or away from home is wondering if my charts are correct. With Garmin packages your cost should be about $600, and that includes the upgrade to Garmin Pilot (to IFR subscription). If dropping $600 plus $75 for GP once a year for databases is a problem, you shouldn’t bought an airplane.
  15. Pro tip: open cowl flaps when on a approach to landing, will cool the engine a bit better at reduced speeds. Also running at little higher RPMs (1200-1300) after start with cowl flaps open will also force more cool air as well, as mentioned above should only have to do this for 15-30 seconds and then can drop down to 1000 RPMs.
  16. If I read you post correctly, this is a problem trying to run idle after a hot start…this is normal. This is the fuel boiling in the hot fuel lines. Try running engine at higher RPMs to get more cool fuel through the lines.
  17. You should have gotten a low fuel warning, if you have a modern Mooney anyway.
  18. FltPlan go is free, but don’t expect equivalent functionality.
  19. That’s the one…interesting spruce show “no stock”. I’ll give it a little more time before I cancel it.
  20. I thought bladders cost you a few gallons for each side, so you’ll have less capacity in both fuel and useful load.
  21. Given the oil filters are back ordered until who knows when, my 2 week spruce order status is still on hold, I might be increasing my normal 35 hour interval.
  22. My first thought when I used to see a plane so badly overpriced was the wife was forcing her husband to sell… I gotta think that $6+ avgas will put bring prices back down somewhat.
  23. Even oil filters are back ordered.
  24. Here’s a J that was a trainer… https://www.controller.com/listing/for-sale/201673285/1991-mooney-m20j-201-piston-single-aircraft
  25. I put an order in at end of July, still waiting…
