Really not so bad. A friend of mine was intercepted a few years ago. He just rocked his wings and gave the middle finger (while laughing) to the air force pilot. The intercepting pilot laughed back, waved and rolled away never to be seen again. Not even a phone # to call. How things have changed.

Respectfully disagree about polls not being meaningful. Just finished poll at local airport and results as follows: Mooney 97% Cessna 74% Piper 61% Cirrus 59% Beechcraft 58.6% Grumman 55% Bellanca 43% Aeronoca 27% Luscombe 14% Understand results will not be final until FAA and Insurance companies refer to committee , complete investigation and issue executive actions. Can't win a war. Too many attorneys hovering over our generals. Can't provide nation with adequate military support. Defense programs cut to provide welfare $$. Can't educate our children. Teachers unions , need I say more? Can't let us keep our doctor. (Blatant lies) Can't balance a budget. 19T going to 21T. Unable to maintain already constructed infrastructure. (Collapsing bridges and poorly patched roads). Can't provide lead free water for our children. Flint. Can't secure our borders and you just got to love those sanctuary cities. Now, what happened to e-verify? Can't solve the drug issues so just legalize it to provide more and bigger govt. Sort of like the turn to final stall, no recovery here. Can't really solve a problem as a degree in law is only useful for arguing, not problem solving. Engineers, economist and scientist solve problems. Ex. China's ruling class, not one person shot last night and not one death from a narcotics overdose. (Contrast with Chicago) No idea whatsoever concerning economic matters. I think when Maytag moved from Iowa to Mexico, that may have been the last straw. I could go on for pages, but in the interest of brevity, (Don't get me started on taxes) enough said.

Very serious problem that should be rapidly solved before aircraft is grounded by FAA. My issues were more complex with whiskey deprivation along with out of reg. interior air pressures. Many conference calls and much trepidation by AP, problem finally solved by substituting a PA1-700 vert. card compass from Aircraft Spruce. Hope this helps, understand the frustration. Best

That's just foolish. Always get a pre-buy. Even if you are buying a supposed "Certified Pre-Owned" airplane. Even those airplanes have specific items that are not necessarily disclosed that will affect the value. You have a problem recognizing humor and sarcasm?

Pretty simple really. Just keep a tally of all yearly expenses for aircraft. ( fuel,hangar maint et.) For 2015, CPA expensed 25% for business write offs and 75% for nondeductible personal use. (This varies from year to year depending on # of hours plane flew in past year) Business write offs to be documented by trip logs et. (Always remember per diem write offs in addition to hotel and other misc expenses. (Google per diem, different $$ for different areas.) I would suspect Donald Trump's 757 is 100% written off without any issues whatsoever. Best. DH

Might be worth while to check a few annual maint. logs and place a few phone calls. Often the same shops will annual the same plane for years, may not take too long. I think I-Phone started their mystery announcements by leaving an I phone on a bar stool. Anyone checked the local Kerrville pub parking lots lately? If it has a chute, it can land anywhere.

Many high school students use the I-phone with google search and texting. (Secretly of course) Wish we would have that access to high tech. during chem. finals. FAA, not so much.

Why would anyone want to pay $$ for a pre-buy when you can find out about the planes issues and problems, cost free, a few hours flying time after purchase.

Don Kay's video, don't leave home without it. 2.Trim full back on final and I strapped 48 lbs. of ballast in the luggage compartment .(Now I can fly final trimmed for hands off) A case of oil would probably do. 3. Speed brakes deployed. (Possible placebo effect here, but she just seems more stable.) 4. Two turns of the vernier when she starts to sink, taught to me by a P51 pilot. 5. Never land on short runways. 6. Everyone is different, this is just what works for me. Chirp, Chirp.....
