  1. Clear Gorilla Duct Tape, Leatherman, multiple credit cards.
  2. No one likes attorneys until they need one, or until their child graduates from law school.
  3. Click Bait. lol.
  4. And yet Genesys is still waiting for those 15 deposits. In any event, the reason it’s “too little“ is they aren’t investing their own money in the STC. Too late, because Garmin.
  5. Too little, too late.
  6. You can easily and cheaply do it yourself using Gila static cling film. I did three windows, leaving the pilot's side window untinted. No bubbling at all. If you don't like it, it's easily removed. I've been flying with it for about 2 years, and it has dramatically increased comfort for my passengers. The film is not optically perfect, but it's good enough for the side glass. Some folks put a strip of it along the top of their windshield as well. https://www.beechtalk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=137566&hilit=tint https://csobeech.com/windowtint.html
  7. Go long on Pokémon, short on Continental.
  8. Mine is aft of the rear avionics bay.
  9. I don’t think it’s airworthy without a working gear. Consult with your AI.
  10. An insurance company pays the policyholder’s claim and then pursues reimbursement from a third party. The company is “subrogated” to the rights of the policyholder.

  12. What a coincidence! That’s never happened to me either.
  13. Most likely your servo will need to be overhauled. Here in the U.S. the cost is about $1,500 at S-TEC. In the mean time, I would not try to work on it yourself. The avionics shop can troubleshoot the entire system and pinpoint the issue. You don't want to be "that guy" who screws something up and makes things more expensive. In the mean time, this is a good thread on one pilot's experience: https://www.beechtalk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=61657
  14. It’s probably an issue with your servo. Short of an overhaul, you can exercise it on the ground by having it travel back and forth through its entire range several times. This worked for me for quite a while until an overhaul was necessary.
  15. This service bulletin does not have your exact part number, but you could probably extrapolate from the various dimensions of tubing that are listed. http://www.mooney201.de/files/M20-208B.pdf
  16. Spirit of St. Louis is an excellent airport if you’re staying on the West side of town. I was last there in 2017, and we used Aero Jet. I don’t recall anything specific about them, but it was a very smooth trip.
  17. Same part number, but mislabeled as a “throttle spacer?” It might be what you’re looking for: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mooney-Aircraft-Throttle-Spacer-P-N-550017-005-New-Surplus-/274325042233?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286
  18. Might be repairable. Cody Stallings is the guy to talk to. @Cody Stallings
  19. I’m looking forward to seeing the finished product in about 7 years. Keep us posted. But seriously, if money is no concern and you want to build a plane, buy an RV kit.
  20. “Cheap B——-d” As in the guy who looks for quarters under the FBO sofa cushions.
  21. I might be able to do it. PM me, and we can look at schedules.
  22. McMooney beat me to it. How old is your nose wheel tire? We had a shimmy, and a new tire solved the problem.
  23. Looks like you're in Texas. If that's the case, Don Maxwell in Longview is a good resource.
  24. Yes, that's it. And no, it won't hurt it. It's designed to be overridden.
  25. It's worth a try "exercising" the clutch by engaging the a/p and then turning the yoke manually in both directions several times.
