Was the temp at FL210 really 0 degrees C, i.e., 27 degrees above Standard?

If it were, say, Standard, the TAS would be ~185Kts. Not shabby, though.

I guess I'm saying, did you align the temp and the altitude in the TAS window?

I believe you're correct, Parker.

My apologies.

191.7 on the computer.  16.5 nm/gal, very nice.

Note to self:  See optometrist.

Parker:

I'm curious, how far LOP are you at that setting, and do you measure it by TIT or by the last EGT to peak?  That's better performance than I get at the same fuel flow, I think, by 5 or 10 knots.  You have the -SB engine instead of my -MB but I think in cruise they are essentially the same engine.

Parker,

If you went 50 degrees rich of peak, how much would that change your airspeed and fuel burn? In your video, you appear to be at around 30 to 31 inches on the MP and it looks like around 2500 on the rpm. Does that sound about right? At those settings and 50 degrees rich of peak how much would that change your airspeed, fuel burn and cht's, if you know or could guesstimate. Thanks for your time.

Well my airspeed might have to go to best glide after my cylinders were all getting beat up from such abuse if I was running 50ROP at these settings.

I imagine it would be about 2-2.5 GPH more and maybe 7 knots better.

Best to just add in more manifold pressure and stay LOP for equal performance.
