co2bruce Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 He may be a political candidate!! I think there's an exception for that, or there ought to be.
Bob Posted May 9, 2013 Author Report Posted May 9, 2013 Are you talking about:.?? © A private pilot (that's me!) may not pay less (I don't want to pay less, is more ok?) than the pro rata share of the operating expenses of a flight with passengers, provided the expenses involve only fuel, oil, airport expenditures, or rental fees. Just goofing off! Ok, I will pay 50% and my company has a program that will make a matching contribution to a charity of choice. My company considers privately managed educational funds a charity. FYI, I am self employed. If you are able to help, please send me a PM with contact info. Better not to post my number here due to spam in the past. Thanks!
jlunseth Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 Sorry, I am not trying to be a scold and your all are pilots, you know the regs. Just did not want someone doing a public post and then flying off in the sunset without thinking about the reg. No I can't help, but good luck.
thinwing Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 Nah keep it simple..once you factor in yearly flight hours/hanger tie down/etc than divide that number into flght hour for trip the aopa average operating rate guide plus the lost income on capitol expenditure, less the ....on second thought just hand over all the money in your pocket for the ride..
thinwing Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 Hi my name is Daly and I am a retired big city mayor now living quietly on a farm. Can any of you wonderful pilots out there give me and my wife a ride to Chicago???She will bake cookies for the trip...thankyou so much...RD
DonMuncy Posted May 10, 2013 Report Posted May 10, 2013 I'll be glad to take you half way, but I won't land to let you out.
Bob Posted May 10, 2013 Author Report Posted May 10, 2013 Hey Daly, I will give you a ride if your wife lets us use Meigs again! Don, as they say, you don't need a chute to sky dive for the first time, just need one to go the second time. Thanks everyone, It looks I am in good shape on this small shuttle ride.
