Previously on this forum when there was much talk about these rudder pedal extensions being no longer available anywhere one member wrote that he had a pair "fabbed up" and owner installed.  I am wanting to either buy a pair of used ones or have some "fabbed up."  Can anyone help?

Cheers

I think that might have been Byron that had some made. Do a search on the site and see if you can find the thread, then PM the guy with the plans. I'm pretty sure he had Mooney drawings. They're pretty simple to make. I'd like a set of 1-1/2" ones myself someday I think.

I have the drawings.  PM me with your email for a copy. They are made from 1/8" 4130 plate steel, the side pieces are cut flat, but the part that goes behind the pedal is bent into a "U" shape on the 3" extensions.   You can have a machine shop make them for ~200$ and call it owner-produced (following the rules, of course).  That's what we did.  I bet Mooney can make them for you now, and last price I recall was ~300$ for the kit. Check with your favorite MSC for availability.

Byron,

Is the correct drawing number from Mooney 720115. If so I have the drawing also. I have a set for both pilot and co-pilot and I was thinking of having some made up by a machine shop using these drawings. That is provided the factory can't make any.
