aaronk25 Posted January 12, 2013 Report Posted January 12, 2013 Oh the embarrassment then the selfinflicted beating that follows. The only positive is, that most people don't know is that if a reputable shop does the repair the plane comes back online in better shape than all comparable others. As far as resell most buyers think "damage" and run, nothing can be farther than the truth.
rbridges Posted January 13, 2013 Report Posted January 13, 2013 the article says he was forced to make a gear up landing, then it says later that he didn't realize it was down. 1

OR75 Posted January 13, 2013 Author Report Posted January 13, 2013 most journalists are incompetent in reporting or under tremendous time pressure to write. i bet most of them do not even read what they wrote before sending. 1
Bob Posted January 13, 2013 Report Posted January 13, 2013 Glad everyone is OK! Sad that the paint was just over a couple years old. http://www.airport-data.com/aircraft/photo/000531397.html Also pretty cool that the N# spells out MOONEY if the one is slanted a little.

Not to humourous for this Packer fan.
mooneygirl Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 Something makes me think this airplane was painted at ArtCraft in Santa Maria, CA. I know they can get it back to looking perfect if so. I am also happy that everyone was okay. Hate to see a Mooney on its belly though.
