jrjaks Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 Note the groundspeed read out on the MX20. I did have a little help with winds, but it's still fun to see 200kts. I got my Mooney back today after 2 months out for it's annual. The engine had to go back to Lycoming for premature cam/lifter wear. It's nice to have an airplane again! Quote
mooniac58 Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 Very nice! Yeah, I just flew into Honolulu yesterday and I had a little push too, but was only seeing 172 ground speed. I think my TAS was around 160 @ 8500. Kona to Honolulu in 58 minutes though - only about 18 minutes longer than if I had rode Hawaiian Airlines on a 717 (and that is not counting the ticket/security/boarding crap) I am extremely biased, but I think Mooney's are the ultimate aircraft and blow everything else away in terms of efficiency and catering to a lot of people's mission requirements.
