Closing on a 76 F and I might need some help getting the plane to Terrell from Maxwells. Any chance anyone here is based out of Terrell or near by. Bonus points for CFII that can help with transition training. Should be about 3 weeks from now.

Jimmy Garrison has a list of referrals for you.  Bob Cabe flew my 201 from Maxwell's all the way up to CT for me.  I wanted to join him for the flight back to get transition training, but couldn't align my schedule with the weather.  I regret it and wish I had just cancelled everything and went :)

As it was a long flight and the AP was inop, he asked if his brother could join him on the ferry flight.  I was glad he would have company and of course said yes.

When the plane arrived, I watched it pull up on the ramp.  Bob got out.  Then Bob got out again.  Bob's brother, Joe, is his identical twin!  They are both a real hoot.  Bob is a true Mooney guy, with thousands of hours.  Of course my new plane made the 10 hour flight up from Texas, but then promptly had a mechanical issue so I could only fly with Bob for about 20 minutes after some ground training.

I believe he just recently turned 79 or 80 and am not sure if he will have any issues with insurance.  He still seemed sharp as a tack to me, back in the Summer.

FYI, I think one of those phone numbers is retired.
