Mark89114 Posted Sunday at 08:19 PM Report Posted Sunday at 08:19 PM Recently imstalled new carpet and am attempting to get the floor mats installed and secured.... Instructions and guidance non existent. I get the supplied clamps hold onto the floor mat and then the pointy end sticks into carpet. This whole thing is loosy goosey, i.e. too much movement. I guess i dont like it, but dont see how how else it is supposed to work? Anyone else done this? Am i missing something obvious? Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted Sunday at 08:54 PM Report Posted Sunday at 08:54 PM You need to pull the belly and see what is below the back of the mats. If there isn’t anything there, just drill a couple of holes and put in a couple of sheet metal screws with finish washers. Quote

Rear seat passengers kept pushing it forward, checked underneath, nothing there, drill and sheet metal screws and it hasn't moved since. 1 Quote
PT20J Posted Sunday at 10:49 PM Report Posted Sunday at 10:49 PM Byron @jetdriven did a really nice installation of his carpets using snaps to make them easily removable. That would probably be a neat way to do the mats. I believe he got the snaps from sailrite.com. 1 Quote
Z W Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago I just removed the floor mats. The pilot side one covered the fuel strainer and I didn't want to drill more holes in the airplane. They were the same material as the carpet underneath them, so that's the floor mat now. Quote
