Danb Posted October 12 Report Posted October 12 I managed to lose my performance profile in ForeFlight What’s the easiest way to add one, also can one be downloaded from another source D Quote
Rick Junkin Posted October 12 Report Posted October 12 @Danb What level of Foreflight subscription do you have? You may be able to add it back easily by going to the Aircraft tab and add a new aircraft by filling out the general aircraft information (tail number and aircraft type). I find it easier to do with the web-based Foreflight at https://plan.foreflight.com The instructions on how to do this are in the Foreflight Pilot Guide http://www.foreflight.com/pilots-guide in section 8.2 starting on page 118. Cheers, Junkman Quote

Cheers, Junkman The Performance Plus subscription is required to access the in-app performance profiles, unfortunately. But if someone has manually created a basic performance profile they can share it with you by sending it through email or text message. You'll need to create a duplicate of what you receive in order to edit it for your airplane specifics. Section 8.3 of the Pilot Guide http://www.foreflight.com/pilots-guide tells you everything you need to know about how to work with shared profiles. Quote
Schllc Posted October 15 Report Posted October 15 I’m pretty sure if you upgrade the subscription and assign profiles to aircraft in your log, you retain them if you downgrade the following cycle. I’ve gone up and down n my subscription package over the years to see what I used and missed. I never had problems using the profiles. the best part about this feature is you can compare post flight, to see what actual burn is and adjust percentages to get it really close to how you fly. some folks frequently use multiple configurations of power. I don’t usually fiddle with my setup, same power settings all the time, unless I’m going 10 min or a maintenance flight etc. then you can copy the profile and adjust the settings, tweak those, and save as another profile. Then you can name them whatever you choose. . in my last acclaim my ForeFlight was almost always within 2-3 gallons. And only that bad if there were detours. it’s much easier than looking in the poh. 1 Quote
