fantom Posted November 20, 2012 Report Posted November 20, 2012 Son is now 5, daughter is 17. They are excellent passengers, having done flights of over 4.5hrs on several occasions. Excellent bladder control at those ages also! Quote
flyboy0681 Posted November 20, 2012 Report Posted November 20, 2012 Not married, so no kids. That statement is no longer mutually exclusive in our society, although it used to be. I have two offspring, 17 and 20. Just like Jolie, my son attends college (Florida State) and looks forward to it when I fly him to/from school. The drive takes 8 hours but the J makes it in 2:15, so after we arrive he still has a full day to get things done. My son's first flight was at 2 years old in a rented Arrow out of Van Nuys. The flying bug hasn't hit either one of them and they are not interested in learning. Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 When my son was about 2 1/2 I took him flying. Strapped his child seat into the right seat and off we went. Just after liftoff he decided to put both feet on the yoke and push as hard as he could.... Never learned about that in flight school. Quote
Oscar Avalle Posted January 28, 2013 Report Posted January 28, 2013 Finally I was able to convince my wife to take Mateo my 4 year old flying... and he LOVED it... So I have a co-pilot.... Quote
carusoam Posted January 28, 2013 Report Posted January 28, 2013 Congratulations Oscar. You seem to know the secrets of Mooney flying. My kids will fly as long as lunch is part of the plan... Best regards, -a- Quote
Oscar Avalle Posted January 28, 2013 Report Posted January 28, 2013 Well, not really... Mateo is my third son... and the two older ones could not care less about flying... not even if lunch is part of the plan. But at least Mateo is telling me: Daddy when can we go again... and that makes my day! So next weekend we have an airshow in Guatemala and I am taking him up again. Quote
The-sky-captain Posted January 28, 2013 Report Posted January 28, 2013 Congrats Oscar. My 2 year old likes flying much more than his mother does. Grrrrr... Quote
