Can you elaborate on this? ….asking for a friend :-) -dan Quote
StevenL757 Posted April 11 Author Report Posted April 11 Hey Dan. So, the short version is the GEAR DOWN light gets its ground through the filaments of the old incandescent nav lights. With LED Nav lights (and their higher impedance), the GEAR DOWN light was always dim. Also, the Nav lights would come on to about half-intensity with the master switch on, but the Nav light switch off. We wired the GEAR DOWN light directly to ground to bring the GEAR DOWN light to full-intensity without impacting other lights or indicators. 3 Quote
LANCECASPER Posted April 11 Report Posted April 11 I have seen this airplane in stages of completion and it is a “better than new” Ovation in every possible way. With Steven’s attention to detail and Brian’s workmanship you will not find a better Ovation on the planet. You couldn’t come close to duplicating it for the asking price. 4 1 Quote
201Mooniac Posted April 11 Report Posted April 11 Absolutely beautiful and really well equipped. If only I was in the market for an Ovation... 1 Quote

StevenL757 Posted April 11 Author Report Posted April 11 Looked at a few options, from twins, to Acclaims, to turpoprops. Nothing definitive yet. 1 Quote
Danb Posted April 11 Report Posted April 11 Sweet, absolutely 2024 Mooney Ovation3 a year earlier it’d be on its way to Delaware 1 Quote
ceep3PO Posted June 14 Report Posted June 14 Does the TKS system include the wings? It wasn’t listed in your description. 1 Quote

Falcon Man Posted June 22 Report Posted June 22 Mooney Aircraft should be building aircraft the way you did. Cheers! 1 Quote

Falcon Man Posted June 23 Report Posted June 23 What is the situation regarding "removal of all Charlie weights"? Quote

StevenL757 Posted June 27 Author Report Posted June 27 Update on the charlie weights...they will stay with the aircraft and be included in the sale. Additionally, I'll include my Redline Sidewinder tow with the sale...which isn't listed in my ad, but I'll revise. Update for @Falcon Man…clarifying that all Charlie weights are presently removed and will be included with the airplane’s sale. Quote
Buckster Posted July 24 Report Posted July 24 Have you sold the Ovation Yet? I own a '97 and would sell it to acquire yours. Quote

Yeah, I guess the stigmas of “it’s priced too high”, and/or “there must be something wrong with it” may still apply here. Apparently, many aren’t truly comparing it to its comps, like-for-like, and determining where the value is. I admit the price was high for the market when I introduced it, but I believe it’s down to a more realistic point. 1 Quote
BlueSky247 Posted July 31 Report Posted July 31 Beautiful bird. Wish I were in a position to grab it. You could make money on it just giving hangar tours. GLWS! Hope a good buyer surfaces soon. 1 Quote
