This is a repost, there was a problem with format on the first.

I have not belonged to MAPA all that long so my stack of LOGS is rather short. I may have a chance to buy a M20-E from a friend/co-worker. Can anyone tell me which issue of the LOG has the "E" and "F" ( still holding out for that F)  price guide? If interested I can post the details when I have all the info. It would be interesting to hear the opinions of the experts on the list.
We just learned today our airline will shut down by the end of Jan which has forced me to down grade my hope of a J. That didn't sound right,,,,, all the Mooneys are great, it's just a money thing and I had hoped to get as new a Mooney as possible.
This E is a high time airframe as well as a high time engine. I'm an A&P and don't mind doing an overhaul working with my IA. Knowing the owner I feel the airplane has be well taken care of (he is a profecional pilot as well and A&P). it has a  few speed mods and a new panel with HSI but old radios , a panel mount handheld and R-nav. PC is inop. Needs paint as well. I have not flown anything other than the early "C" but I like the idea of the added HP. If anyone is giving demos in So. Ohio let me know Laughing  We can even trade rides to remind you why you got the Mooney in the first place. There are limitations to having two airplanes for me, but the boss is firm on not selling the "kids" 170. So far the plan is to have a Mooney by Spring.

PS Anyone need a pilot, will fly for hundreds of thousands of $s. Money mouth

Terrry, I have some of the old issues that have the price guides you are looking for.  I could email a pdf of the subject issue if you'd like.

BTW, which airline do you work for that is closing down?

Thanks Greg, I just wanted to know which issues.......... I can down load them form the MAPA site.
I work for ABX Air, what’s left of the old Airborne Express before the CEOs gutted the company and sold out to DHL. DHL did in 5 years what UPS and FEDX could not do in 25 years,,, put us under!
I have been a pilot there for over 35 years, the last 10 on the 767. It's been a great ride but I still hate to be forced to retire before I'm ready. I hope the Mooney will fill some of the void, if it only flew as nice as the 76 :-)
I would love to get a newer one but too many other hobbies and such prevents an outlay of more that 60 or so. Extreme care has kept me in the same job and wife for 35 years, too old to screw it up now!
Anyway, if you can just let me know the issues of the price guides I think I can look them up. The guy with the “E” will be one of the guys hitting the street soon and I know he has a decent airplane and will have to sell it.

Where are you based? Is that a picture of your airplane?

The last issue I see that had pre-201 pricing info was Feb 08.  I'm sure that's pretty far out of date by now, especially given the the way the economy is going.  Pretty soon, you'll be able to buy a J model for $60K.

And yes, the plane pictured is my Ovation.
