What is that symptom an indication of? Disclosure: No, I don't know exactly what equipment the Darter has. One problem at a time. I know it is the same as others I have seen in the white Nav light in the tail. I will look for the book and any addendum when I get back to the airport later today. thanks David
N201MKTurbo Posted February 23, 2024 Report Posted February 23, 2024 The tail beacon receives the transponder squawks and retransmits the mode C altitude. you need to verify that you have mode C turned on and that it is working. the easiest way is to call ATC and ask them. 1

And if you've been on any IFR flight plans or requested Flight Following, they would have told you if there was a problem. Just because FlightAware doesn't see you, doesn't mean you really have a problem. I have heard of a number of people with issues with the tail light beacon devices.
