Watched an "old man" (45-year-old?) fly a 150 for 5 minutes without leaving the confines of the runway -- and not in the manner that first comes to mind.  He flew one direction in ground effect, pulled it straight up followed by a wingover when airspeed was near zero, dove straight down to the runway, pulled out in ground effect, and did it again at the other end.  It was one of those things that makes your heart race even though you aren't in any danger.  His son and I each lost $5 on that bet.

Reminds me of watching Amelia Reid (of Reid Hillview fame, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amelia_Reid) fly her aerobatic routine in a 150.  It was a true testament to energy management.

Thanks all for the replies. I flew yesterday and it wasn’t as bad as I remember Friday, during my checkout. I tried flying it with the trim and was able to get it to feel a lot better. I bought the plane to build hours in and burn holes in the sky and it’s great for that. If I want to go xc it’ll do that well too. My bed is just too comfortable to get too far.

I tried all my search tricks, but couldn't find a video.  I'll remember the name.  Thanks.

I looked for one as well but didn't find it.  Since she passed about 22 years ago, there weren't so many phones with cameras back then.
