I was just in another chat where one of the posters suggested a meet-up in Kerrville during the next eclipse (April 8th, I believe). What would be the possibility of the presentation wizards being able to put together another summit at the Kerrville TX airport around the time of the eclipse? If I understand correctly, the eclipse should go right over that area during that time. That would be super-cool and make this next Mooney Summit one for the record books! Possible?

There are 150,000 people projected to visit Kerrville during the April 2024 eclipse. NASA bought up all of the hotel rooms 2 years ago. Any other campsites, rv parks, air bnb, etc have been sold out for over a year.

Kerrville would be a great place to have it though, probably not that week.

This might be a more fitting venue for Mooney Max than the Mooney Summit, and in fact, back in 2016 Former Mooney CEO Vivek Saxena was pushing hard that the Summit to be in Kerrville, but he was uncomittal to providing rooms for our Subject matter experts or a seminar space, something the great people at Tampa Airport Authority currently provide and previously @rocketman had done for the Summit in Panama City Beach. Thus making the event venue Kerrville lack economic substance or requiring excessive registration fees.

With that said, keep the suggestions for the Summit coming, that way Alex and Dan can drive the event to be even more of what people want.

If it is just to catch a really cool eclipse as a bonus, @LANCECASPER how about having a good ol fashion flyin, Tejas style with David doing some cowboy steaks? You might have sold the resturant, but you still know how to burn a cow!

I've got family and friends coming in for the eclipse so that time is already committed for me. But an easy fly-in would Fredericksburg (T82) with a hotel and restaurant with conference rooms on the field.
