Yetti Posted November 9, 2023 Report Posted November 9, 2023 I started to fill out my application for insurance and realized I was really close to 500 hours Make and Model. Would getting 500 hours count for something discount wise? Also where do I send off too for my 500 hour flight patch for my flight jacket? 1 Quote
Parker_Woodruff Posted November 9, 2023 Report Posted November 9, 2023 99.99% in most cases it won't help at all. But it's a great milestone! Quote

MikeOH Posted November 9, 2023 Report Posted November 9, 2023 @Parker_Woodruff So, is there only one ‘breakpoint’ at around 100 hours and after that make and model hours no longer matter for rates? Quote

Maybe 250, but I doubt it. 1 Quote

Echo Posted November 17, 2023 Report Posted November 17, 2023 What the GA market REALLY needs is competition to create softening. The premiums are WAY HIGH in this hard market. The price of insurance is becoming prohibitive and carriers have been feasting. Hopefully some competition will enter and create price pressure to reduce the current costs that ARE burdonsome. Like death and taxes hard markets DO come to an end with competition. There is definitely profit to made...and then some at current pricing. Quote
Echo Posted November 17, 2023 Report Posted November 17, 2023 Hearing that pricing is high because Boeing crashes airliners does not hunt for this bird dog... Quote
kerry Posted November 17, 2023 Report Posted November 17, 2023 I hit a 1000 at last renewal and my rate was lowered. Quote

Parker_Woodruff Posted November 17, 2023 Report Posted November 17, 2023 There's been some added capacity lately...we'll see what the target segments of the market are... Quote
