Item under dash behind firewall, can you name it?

Getting ready to install the window for the last time with seal, but cant identify this item or if it needs to be connected to something.

Can you help?

Also, we need a tapered pin that connects the yoke to the control shaft, where would be get such an item?

That looks like your Lo/Hi vacuum sensor. That line should be connected to your vacuum system, otherwise you’ll get a low vacuum light on.

I suspect their used to be a tee in that vacuum line with the auto hose clamps on it. The tee probably broke and was replaced with the piece of tubing.

Two reasons to find the other end…

1) The light indicator won’t be sensing what it is supposed to…

2) If that is a vac sensor… the vac may be open to the atmosphere allowing air and dirt to get where it doesn’t belong.

If the low vac light isn’t on… check the bulb…

1) New parts from Mooney, contact your favorite MSC…

2) Pre-flowned parts, find @Alan Fox
