Is the defrost on the 'E just the little holes?

As the topic says I was wondering(and looking at ECS diagrams) what the defrost is on my E model. It's a '69 with a SWTA 201 windshield. There is just little holes. Are those the defrost? I'm used to the 231 slots on each side.

There is a plenum at the base of the windshield that ports through the holes to which you’re referring. It’s not the greatest system when in tip top condition. Most are not in tip top condition. The sceet tubing deteriorates ove time and should be replaced every 20years at a minimum.

You reach under the panel and flip the valves on the heater down there.  Once closed below it blows on the windscreen versus the footwell.  I find it pretty useless in my F and scrap the ice off the inside as needed, then pop the storm window when it gets warm.  Works much better.

I got all iced up once (well a few times) in my old M20F. The defroster will melt about a 1/2 inch high stripe on the bottom of the windshield. It’s weird landing when your only visibility is out the ice window. Thank goodness for the ice window.
