Definitely feels like there’s more to this story. An open door with a return to base doesn’t usually produce an off-field landing

I never have understood the crashing because the door popped open on most aircraft. Seems to happen on Bonanza’s a lot.

Some aircraft with those cool looking gull wing doors it seems is a little more of an issue, but still no need to crash the thing.
