Wildhorsetrail Posted May 12, 2023 Report Posted May 12, 2023 I've noticed that once the engine is running at climb power (and less so in cruise) there is a smell of hot engine/oil in the cabin. Not strong, but definitely noticeable. Opening the cabin vent seems to help slightly. No sign of CO. Sent from my SM-A326U1 using Tapatalk Quote
Bartman Posted May 12, 2023 Report Posted May 12, 2023 Remove the cowl and take a look. Push tube seals are often a source of leaking oil running down on the exhaust pipe and pretty obvious when it is happening. Could be any number of leaks as simple as above, and as bad as a cracked case, or anything between. Quote
Wildhorsetrail Posted May 12, 2023 Author Report Posted May 12, 2023 Should have mentioned that there doesn't seem to be any leaks. Oil consumption is in the realm of a quart every 5 hours. Quote
