Stratus USB problem

Having a USB port is important for secondary navigation systems like ipad or iphone.  My plane came with a stratus USB system that just quit working.  Is there a fuse in line for this system or is this an internal problem and it will need to be replaced? 

I have tried to search on this forum, but I have been unsuccessful

You need to find the installation instructions. They will tell you how it is wired. There is certainly some circuit protection.

It specifies a CB but no fuse.  It looks like the power can easily be disconnected from the back and you could use a multimeter to determine if power is getting to the unit.

We see the stratus 2 and stratus 3 units suffer the same problem with the usb port being damaged and needing to be repaired or replaced. Luckily it's an easy fix for us. Repair is a great option to keep the unit for much longer and not have to purchase a new unit.
