rangermb Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 Please excuse, but I am starting another thread to try and cast a wider net for an answer. I have a 77J with a bad strobe tube. Pretty sure I have an original Hoskins power supply. I understand that the replacement tubes aren't available, but a Whelen tube can be used if the wires are reversed. What I don't know is what tube to order and from where. Does anyone out there have an actual part number for the replacement tube? Thanks Mike Quote
BillC Posted February 26, 2012 Report Posted February 26, 2012 Mike, I just replaced my last Hoskins power supply with a Whelen on my 79J. The part number your looking for is an A610 strobe bulb. I got mine from AC Spruce. You have to swap two of the wires to match the Hoskins power supply. A tool to do this is available at Radio Shack. Hope this helps. Quote
rangermb Posted February 26, 2012 Author Report Posted February 26, 2012 Yes, that's exactly what I was looking for. A million thanks Bill Quote
PTK Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 Has anyone replaced the tail strobe/position BULB ONLY? If so could you please provide part number? Quote
