Please excuse, but I am starting another thread to try and cast a wider net for an answer.

I have a 77J with a bad strobe tube. Pretty sure I have an original Hoskins power supply. I understand that the replacement tubes aren't available, but a Whelen tube can be used if the wires are reversed. What I don't know is what tube to order and from where. Does anyone out there have an actual part number for the replacement tube?

Thanks

Mike, I just replaced my last Hoskins power supply with a Whelen on my 79J. The part number your looking for is an A610 strobe bulb. I got mine from AC Spruce. You have to swap two of the wires to match the Hoskins power supply. A tool to do this is available at Radio Shack.

Hope this helps.

Has anyone replaced the tail strobe/position BULB ONLY? If so could you please provide part number?
