DRH4249 Posted November 10, 2022 Report Posted November 10, 2022 Wow! That looks nice. Did you use the whole Norton system or just one product to get this results? Quote
rrodriguzzi1 Posted November 10, 2022 Author Report Posted November 10, 2022 Just Liquid Ice. It works great! Quote
Jpravi8tor Posted November 10, 2022 Report Posted November 10, 2022 Another good compound is Presta gel coat compound, i was uploading a pic but it failed to upload Quote
milotron Posted November 11, 2022 Report Posted November 11, 2022 Nice. What kind of buffer/polisher and pads did you use? Quote
rrodriguzzi1 Posted November 11, 2022 Author Report Posted November 11, 2022 I did use their foam pads too. That for the areas with flush rivets. For the areas with round head rivets I used a smaller polisher. Spray light water as you go. It makes a big difference. I will add pictures of the two I used later. 2 Quote
rrodriguzzi1 Posted November 13, 2022 Author Report Posted November 13, 2022 (edited) Ok. Just to clarify and to add more information. I used Norton Liquid Ice Extra Cut. I used the polisher with a wool pad. I do have the foam pads. I did use the foam ones, blue, white, black, but the wool seem to be the one with the best results. Also this equipment I am using is very old. I am sure there are new options out there. The ultra fine compound I haven’t used yet. So this pictures are before even using the ultra fine compound. The small polisher I used over the round head rivet areas. It might take a bit longer, but it doesn’t cut or remove the paint off the rivet heads.
