I put an AV-20-S in as a tie breaker for the G3X and G5. It works great for that and I get an extra clock. I tested the backup battery and it died after 20 minutes rather than the claimed 30. The AoA only works on a stable approach in smooth air, but I pretty much expected that based on the design.

I'd be curious for billable install time for those.

I believe it took me about 6 hours, including removing the seats for better access, pinning the connector, and wiring.  Lee

How do you like the units so far?

The units are great! They do everything they say they do and with precision. Calibrating them was fairly easy for the most part its straight forward. The AOA is a little tricky… It helps to have a safety pilot with you right figures down when doing stall maneuvers then adjusting settings, etc…  I wanted my AOA spot on so, I might have been a little excessive with the calibration.

The PS Engineering PMA8000G audio panel is less expensive and has more features than the Garmin. It has four channels for triggered alerts, and you record a message on each channel that it plays back when triggered. It can be hooked to your gear warning, an altitude alerter, stall warning, etc. So it will play the message into your headset. There is no missing the gear warning horn, if you've recorded a message like "CHECK GEAR, CHECK GEAR...CALL INSURANCE AGENT"

I have my AV20S alerts audio wired in, and it's helpful to have it bark at me when doing steep turns.

Is that the sensorless AOA device?

You might want to write a pirep on that…

The initial pireps blasted the thing as unusable…

Which left me second guessing the other functions…
