philip_g Posted October 14, 2021 Report Posted October 14, 2021 (edited) We have seats coming from air tex Our plastics are so-so. They've been covered in a leatherette type product already and are due for a refresh. I can purchase the jaeger lower panels for $2200 ish and I can buy new upper plastics from vantage for a few hundred each. Let's say $3500 all in and I have nearly new everything. The overhead is pretty good and can just be painted. Aerocomfort wants $4600 to strip the old material and recover the panels, including the headliner. The jaeger panels are pretty bare bones but I'd like the extra space. Plus cost savings. How do theyook in person? Do they look as good as Hector's work? I am not sure they do. Neither includes shipping. To Hector and back will be significant expense. Edited October 14, 2021 by philip_g
Hank Posted October 14, 2021 Report Posted October 14, 2021 @Marauder has a Jaeger interior. Maybe he'll post more pictures of it for you.
Greg Ellis Posted October 14, 2021 Report Posted October 14, 2021 There are photos of a Jaeger interior in the Gallery on Mooneyspace.

carusoam Posted October 14, 2021 Report Posted October 14, 2021 Both! Hector for all things wrapped in leather… Jaeger for all things plastic lining the walls… Aerocomfort does the whole project turn-key if you like the hands-off approach… Best regards, -a-
carusoam Posted October 14, 2021 Report Posted October 14, 2021 Keep in mind there are options to consider… 1) Forever-plane economics… 2) Family man CB economics… 3) Somewhere in between… Pick your level of adornment…. Don’t be surprised or try to keep up with other people’s forever-plane economics…. Best regards, -dad- (again) 1

Ragsf15e Posted October 15, 2021 Report Posted October 15, 2021 Have you been able to get Wisconsin Aero or whoever bought out jaeger to answer your questions and could you install them yourself as well as Bruce did it? Because I think Bruce retired to Florida and sold his business. WA seemed to jack the price and not offer the same level of personal service?

I haven't asked but didn't see anything to the contrary. I think it's about 2200 for the kit, not great or awful. It'll be worse to get the window trim from elsewhere Edited October 15, 2021 by philip_g 1
