carusoam Posted June 3, 2021 Report Posted June 3, 2021 Expect the O360 used for an R22... to be specialized somewhat... But it is still an O360... That would leave you checking every mini detail to make sure every hole is in the right place... And as Mike mentioned above... somebody around here got an engine with no prop speed control.... because the funny hole was open allowing oil pressure to escape... https://www.aviationpros.com/home/article/10385901/robinson-r22-a-look-at-this-helicopters-powerplant Best regards, -a- 1 Quote
59Moonster Posted June 7, 2021 Author Report Posted June 7, 2021 Thanks for all of the help. Turns out it's not a cracked case but was leaking from where the bolt mounts the generator. So some how the two halves aren't pairing up like they used to. Now to see how that all pans out 1 Quote

This may not change your situation much. You’ll know for sure if the crank feels tight after everything is tightened up. I hope that significant case fretting has not yet occurred. MBDiagMan Posted June 8, 2021 Report Posted June 8, 2021 I sold a case to CSI in Sand Springs, Ok about two weeks ago. It is already machined by them and ready to go. 2 Quote

MBDiagMan Posted June 8, 2021 Report Posted June 8, 2021 Yes! CSI rocks! Mr. Jewel at Jewel Aircraft Engines put me onto them. Jewel is another source for a case. He had some as of about three months ago. 1 Quote
