JOR Posted February 23, 2020 Report Posted February 23, 2020 I’m in need of a serviceable bellcrank. Mooney says the will fabricate a -503 “sometime soon” but no real timeline. Mooney has given me part numbers for replacing the lock bolts but need reference for oversized holes to repair properly. I’ve heard TopGun in Stockton has repaired and sold these in the past. Anyone have any info on that? If anyone has a lead on repairing and or availability of a serviceable one let me know. It would be greatly appreciated.
Andy95W Posted February 24, 2020 Report Posted February 24, 2020 LASAR. Give them a call, I bet there’s a 99% chance they’ll do it. Then again, there’s not much to them- just hardware and bearings. LASAR can sell you what you need (Dan in parts can probably tell you what you need over the phone).
carusoam Posted February 24, 2020 Report Posted February 24, 2020 JOR, You may have skipped an important detail... What Mooney do you have? There may be a used one in an MS hangar... but not all MSers have memorized the part numbers of all the other Mooneys... Add some detail to your avatar area, when able... I know a few stashes of used parts I can point you towards... Best regards, -a-
JOR Posted February 24, 2020 Author Report Posted February 24, 2020 Thanks for the LASAR suggestion Andy95W, I'm in California so they are usually my first phone call. They can only order a new part for me... Carusoam, I did forget the model! Oops.. I have an M20K 25-001, the part is the bellcrank, furthest aft that connects to both elevators.
carusoam Posted February 24, 2020 Report Posted February 24, 2020 For used parts... @Jerry Pressley @SheryLoewen Paul and Shery are on the West Coast... and @Alan Fox Best regards, -a-
JOR Posted February 24, 2020 Author Report Posted February 24, 2020 Thanks @carusoam! Reached out to them. 1
