bucko Posted January 6, 2020 Report Posted January 6, 2020 (edited) Was flying today and talking on my # 2 radio (a KX-165) when there was a soft "pop" and it stopped working. Display went dark. No sidebar noise when PTT button pushed. No breakers were blown. Everything else electrical still working. Turning the unit off/ on elicited a small twitch in the CDI, but nothing else. Bucko Strehlow Power transistor at T5 along with cap blown at C5....
CaptRJM Posted January 8, 2020 Report Posted January 8, 2020 +1 for Bevan. They completely overhauled my KX 165 for around $1200. Works as good as new.
