fyi garmin support is available during weekend...and the wait time is typically short

You have an annunciator or flip flop button on your yoke to change between GPS and VLOC? It’s likely shorted to ground...

Looks like a non-waas unit. If it doesn't clear up on its own, you know what you gotta do.

 

Does working perfectly mean you can switch between VLOC and GPS mode without any trouble?

I had an issue on my Garmin units that dealt with the buttons not working. The cheap fix (if it works) is to press the button(s) about 50-100 times in a row. I did it with the unit off. If there is any light corrosion underneath the button it can clear it up. Hopefully that is the problem.
