What good GA airports are around the Tampa area - and what's the going availability and rate for hangars??

How close to Tampa is around the area for you? Lakeland (KLAL) had some a few months ago for ~ $325 a month.

Tampa Executive (KVDF, formerly Vandenberg) is really your only bet for finding a hangar right away. I think they run around $300/mo. Everything else will carry a waiting list. I think KTPF has some 3 sided hangars (like a covered hangar with open doors). This time of year, you won't have much rain, and the cover keeps the nightly column of dew from settling on your plane.
