Cheapie 360 camera test in the Drama Queen.

A buddy had put one of these in his race car (we're now required to have a forward-facing camera for incident review, but covering 360 is even better):

Only $82, has 32G internal mem (non expandable) that lasts about 2 hours in 1080p mode and about double that in 720p.   I did a quick test with it on Friday, and still don't have the adjustments (brightness, iris, etc.) right to get both interior and exterior.   This was in 720p mode, so the vid quality is not awesome.

Edit:   You should be able to click on the screen and grab it with the mouse and point the view anywhere.   I'm boring to watch.

Also edit:   Yes, I know my airplane is a beater.

More edit:  Yes, the audio sucks when it's noisy.   It doesn't really sound that bad.

Did you mount it to the passenger seat back?  If so what did you use?

Bold move showing a Touch-n-Go video on Mooney Space. ;)

It came with an adaptor so that you can use other "action camera" mounts (i.e., gopro mounts), and since my gopro died a quiet death last year I stuck it on the window with the gopro suction mount.

And, yes, I survived a touch-n-go in a Mooney!   Quite a few of them, actually... ;)

I like it.   I noticed there was a Samsung wireless IP 360 camera at sams for $149....  almost bought it.   the ultimate would be a FLIR enabled camera that you could mount on the nose to see through the clouds to find the runway.
