FBCK Posted October 19, 2017 Report Posted October 19, 2017 The boots on my landing gear and the one in back for the jack screw (1981 231) are pretty beat up. I know the Beach guys have someone who makes their boots , does anyone know of a provider for our Mooneys?
N201MKTurbo Posted October 19, 2017 Report Posted October 19, 2017 Yes, Mooney. I would get the trim boot from Mooney. Ive seen the landing gear boots made of vinyl. I would cycle the gear on jacks after replacing them to make sure they don't bind.
FBCK Posted October 19, 2017 Author Report Posted October 19, 2017 I was quoted $500 from Mooney for the landing gear, seems a little high for a couple pieces of cloth.
KSMooniac Posted October 19, 2017 Report Posted October 19, 2017 Call LASAR for their version, or just make your own using the old ones as a pattern. Use Velcro to close them around the gear instead of disassembling.Sent from my LG-US996 using Tapatalk 3

From what I can see I don't know if it ever did unless they were glued on as there doesn't appear to be any place that they would have attached. I wonder if it is because mine was a D that was converted to a retract.
KSMooniac Posted October 19, 2017 Report Posted October 19, 2017 I bet they were left out! Sent from my LG-US996 using Tapatalk
Skates97 Posted October 19, 2017 Report Posted October 19, 2017 Probably, anyone want to post a couple pictures of theirs? 1
FBCK Posted October 20, 2017 Author Report Posted October 20, 2017 Talked to Laser, $25 each side, done.
