LANCECASPER Posted February 20, 2017 Report Posted February 20, 2017 Congrats on your E! It's always a good idea to post pictures so people can see what they are getting. Also you have the exact same ad posted 4 times. You might delete the other three ads. Quote
Shadrach Posted February 20, 2017 Report Posted February 20, 2017 Interesting, I thought the first E model was sold as a 1964 model year. Yours is the first pre 64 E I've heard of. Quote
Herlihy Brother Posted April 2, 2017 Author Report Posted April 2, 2017 Correction, Manufactured in Fall of 1963, Sold as a 1964 Year model, like they do with cars. This is Serial #101. Quote
kevinw Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 My J was manufactured in the fall of '81 but sold as a '82 model. Ultimately, the model year is defined by the s/n. Quote
Herlihy Brother Posted March 3, 2018 Author Report Posted March 3, 2018 I still have it and have been flying it regularly. My friend on the field has a beautiful same year/model for sale, all new glass, reman engine, new prop and hub...for $45k. See it on barnstormers:https://barnstormers.com/classified_1329942_Mooney+M20E.html Quote
Herlihy Brother Posted March 3, 2022 Author Report Posted March 3, 2022 Fifth year anniversary of having this E posted here with only one or two inquiries but didnt sell...which is okay because I've been too busy to show it or give rides. It looks like the market has gone up since 2017. Up to 3000+ TSMOH now and running well. I also have a spare io-360a1a with an "M20 Turbo" system installed. 22 years and 2500 hours of flying this bird coast to coast and never aog once--great plane. Does anyone have input on what a run-out E is worth in today's market 1 Quote
carusoam Posted March 3, 2022 Report Posted March 3, 2022 Congrats on going the distance… Find JimmyG of GMax… He holds the keys to the pricing strategy for all things Mooney… Another place to look is the MooneyFlyer… Best regards, -a- 1 Quote
