We have a 1965 M20D .  Anyways we find that it is very difficult to keep the cabin warm during the colder months.  We noticed that the overhead vents even when fully closed allow some air into the cabin making it rather uncomfortable for longer flights.

Has anyone had any experience with this problem and know of a fix that might help us in the winter time?

We are considering buying a piece of cloth and having velcro sewn into it on two sides and then just puttling this "patch" over the air vents to prevent the air from coming into the cabin.  Might even line the patch with sheepskin or fleece.  Is this a viable option?

Thanks
