DonMuncy Posted June 4, 2016 Report Posted June 4, 2016 I don't know about Js, but my 231 has a lever type device for O2 in that area. It is a long curved slot with a knob that pushes fore and aft to push/pull the cable operating the valve on the O2 regulator. Quote
Steve Dietrich Posted June 4, 2016 Report Posted June 4, 2016 Lots of interesting questions . At the risk of sounding a little paternalistic Make 1 copy of the POH blown up to 8.5 x 11 for each pilot and put in three ring binder for pilot to keep on their desk The characteristics of the mooney which come back to bite the most often are its very efficient low drag wing and the combination of a long wing and very low wing to ground distance . You may not do the full 5 hours with a Mooney specialist but some time with one willl help avoid bad habits. 1 Quote
kortopates Posted June 4, 2016 Report Posted June 4, 2016 Too funny with the step!! Steve is right as is Mike, peevee and Don. Don't get hypoxic finding that knob! Okay kidding of course but this did get rather humorous. Don, if you have a lever or push pull device someone modified your 02 system - see your IPC. The cable should go to a circular disk behind the plastic with a knob on the pilot side to turn in on and off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

A little round knob sticks out from the plastic side panel, through an arc shaped slot/hole in the plastic. When you rotate the knob through that arc, it moves the cable (forward and backward) that opens and closes the valve at the regulator. Quote
kortopates Posted June 4, 2016 Report Posted June 4, 2016 Indeed we are Don, sorry I miss understood. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
DonMuncy Posted June 4, 2016 Report Posted June 4, 2016 No problem. That system works well, but it is hard to describe. 1 Quote
