Raptor05121 Posted December 22, 2015 Report Posted December 22, 2015 Hey guys, I'm in the talks with Justin from 32right.com, which specialized in aviation apparel. He just released his newest typographical shirt, which is basically a jumble of words about said aircraft, in the shape of said aircraft (See below): The 177 is his latest, and I approached him about a Mooney shirt. He is interested in making one. So now we are calling out to the community. First off, please describe the "Mooney ideal" in short basic words (economic, fast, laminar flow, etc etc) and if you are interested in one! The shirts appear to start at $22. I am not affiliated or making anything with this, I'm simply in love with the design/idea and want one to show I'm a true Mooniac. You can see more at www.32right.com. As far as the design, we have decided on the M20J, but will be using collective words from the whole "fleet" 2 Quote
carusoam Posted December 22, 2015 Report Posted December 22, 2015 Ovation: Fastest normally aspirated factory built four seat airplane on or off the planet...IO-550 Acclaim: Fastest Turbo-normalized factory built four seat airplane in the FLs...TNIO-550 One Size large, verify price and delivery prior to making. Verify speed claims with the Mooney marketing department. They have a history of being more creative writers than me. leave some room for my first Mooney on there somewhere... Best regards, -a- Quote
bradp Posted December 22, 2015 Report Posted December 22, 2015 He can abstract his typography from Mooneyspace to get a more accurate "real world" list of words. We'd see in large type LOP ROP Camguard CB Garmin Aspen There you go that's about it :-). Cool idea though ... -B Quote
ArtVandelay Posted December 22, 2015 Report Posted December 22, 2015 Picture for Mooney needs to be a side view. 1 Quote
carl Posted December 22, 2015 Report Posted December 22, 2015 The Mooney from the top or bottom has a very distinct tail too. I can't get the picture in Quote

Guest Posted December 22, 2015 Report Posted December 22, 2015 How about: "wood and fabric". Some of us still have it. Clarence Quote
C-GHIJ Posted December 24, 2015 Report Posted December 24, 2015 From what I hear, your "wood" can get soft and weak as it gets older. Stick to metal and it will always stay stiff. 1 Quote

I appreciate the enthusiasm, but they all apply to other airplanes. We're looking for Mooney-only words. The rest don't "make" a Mooney. More universal, if anything. On 12/22/2015 at 5:52 PM, M20Doc said: How about: "wood and fabric". Some of us still have it. It would be neat for some GA planes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Raptor05121 Posted December 28, 2015 Author Report Posted December 28, 2015 That's beyond my control. Not my company, nor do I have any affiliation or kickback. I'm just giving them words to make a Mooney shirt so I can buy one. Quote

kpaul Posted December 29, 2015 Report Posted December 29, 2015 Saw this on Mooney Pilots FB page. Looks like a good start and shows the tail off well. (The 1970 date has been brought up to the designer) Quote

I'd buy one then. Quote
cnoe Posted December 29, 2015 Report Posted December 29, 2015 I applaud the effort but they may want to hire an editor. There are a few erroneous markings including the Lycoming code for the engine (no such thing as an O-360-A1B6D fuel-injected 200HP engine). Also "cowling" doesn't have an "e". Sorry to nit-pick but there are several things in the text that are questionable. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote
