It typically takes about 7 hours door to door with a fuel/lunch stop. she is flying the airlines.... leave the house at 4:30 AM for a 6:00 AM departure. fly to Seattle change planes and wait. Fly to MFR and arrive at noon and have lunch Drive to LMT arrive at 2:00 total door to door time: 9 1/2 hours. Got to love the Mooney! 4 Quote

AZ231 Posted October 19, 2015 Report Posted October 19, 2015 Having just spent more than three hours yesterday morning in Chicago (following a two hour drive from western IL back to the airport) waiting for shuttles and TSA lines at ORD, I can tell you that all I was thinking about the entire time was how nice this would have been direct from Phoenix to NW Illinois in the Mooney! However, with five of us traveling last minute for a funeral, the 231 wasn't an option for this trip, and the turbo Seneca my instructor owns was down for maintenance. We are truly spoiled being able to travel point-to-point in a Mooney when things line up properly! Quote
