September 12th at GCD, sometimes it feels like "BFE":) It would be great to see a few Mooneys and bring some class to our airport. You would get a chance to check out our states largest forest fire, or the aftermath. I believe it got over 100,000 acres.

On the off chance anyone was coming. They canceled the flyin. I'm guessing because it's going to be really hot tomorrow and plan on the fires picking up again. Maybe next year:) burn some av fuel for me this weekend though.

Since we are talking about fly-ins. My airport (N57) is hosting a free RC model air show this weekend. I stopped by on my bike ride and heard a jet flying. Turned out to be this bad boy. Unbelievable to watch.

Drones yuck! Real RC aircraft like that are bad ass and show incredible talent in both construction and flying skills.
